What is Glamping?

Glamping is simply two words combined—Glamorous + Camping! However, it's not always that simple.

Like many things, there are different levels of Glamping. Some think adding a bed, and an outdoor bathroom is enough, but at Tennessee Glamping, we put the glamorous part at the forefront of what we do.

When designing our geodesic domes, we tried to remove typical aspects of camping and think about the everyday luxuries we expect—private bathrooms with a toilet, shower, and sink, a kitchen with a refrigerator, coffee maker, and grill.

About Tennessee Glamping

When we first heard the term 'glamping', like many others, we thought: "what is glamping?". With so many outdoor activities available, we decided to try glamping in Tennessee since it's so popular around the world. We quickly began searching for the best places to go glamping, but our search was quickly met with disappointment.

There were a few treehouses near Nashville, some tiny cabins near Gatlinburg, and some container homes near Chattanooga, but nothing that was a unique glamping experience. There was nothing that had that 'wow factor'. This sparked the idea to start our own Glamping in Tennessee with experience unique glamping domes.

Lodging In Our Domes

Glamping is ideal for adventurers who have a love for the outdoors but don't want to sacrifice modern conveniences. If you're new to glamping check out our glamping overview post here. Glamping in Tennessee will never be the same.

At our domes, you'll be immersed in nature but have all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel. Guests can relax knowing they won't have to bring all of the typical camping supplies. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or just trying to spend some time in nature this is the best glamping in Tennessee.

We'll start with the most popular amenity, the hot tub, each dome comes with a private hot tub with a mountain view. From there our guests can enjoy, a propane grill, fire pit, a kitchen with refrigerator, hot water, drinking water,
Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom in the dome.

Each bathroom is equipped with a sink, toilet, hot shower and towels, and robes. It wouldn't be glamping without heat and air conditioning to keep our guests comfortable all year round. Gone are the days of sleeping on a cot or in a sleeping bag—our domes have real beds and more blankets than you'd ever need to get a good nights sleep after a long day of hiking. Bring your food, drinks and clothes but leave the rest at home when you go on a glamping getaway!

"This is the perfect off-the-grid getaway for couples and families. The peace and quiet of nature were so relaxing! We loved the hot tub, virtual reality, and all the small touches the owners provided during our stay. The property is gorgeous to hike and there are beautiful waterfalls within a 15-minute drive from the dome. Just make sure to bring all the groceries and supplies needed for your stay because this is a long way out from a large city. We can't wait to return and enjoy a long weekend relaxing in nature!"

"Tony and Christina thought of everything when they built this...all the little touches and amenities are so perfect! The location is ideal and the dome is perfectly situated to wake to the most beautiful sunrises! The local hiking also does not disappoint...easy drive to so many different spots. We hiked Foster Falls and the Fiery Gizzard Trail...Tennessee is SO beautiful! We also stopped at Dutch Maid Bakery for coffee cake. And had dinner at Look Out Winery...amazing views of the Tennessee River with wood oven pizza and wine flights! Highly recommend Tennessee Glamping and will definitely be back!!"
