The Pioneer Wagon is perfect for those seeking a luxurious glamping experience. It features a cozy memory foam king-sized bed and twin bunk beds, a kitchenette with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, and a rustic washbasin sink with hot and cold running water. You’ll have all the modern amenities you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Our three Conestoga Wagons are situated around a fire pit, offering an authentic pioneer life experience with all the modern amenities of a feature-rich glamping experience. You and your family can enjoy roasting marshmallows over a campfire, sleeping beneath the stars, and waking up to a beautiful dawn.

Please note that each wagon has a strict four-person maximum, and we can’t accommodate more than four guests per wagon, including children and infants. We want to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and having too many people in one wagon can make it cramped and uncomfortable. Policies

Your reservation may be canceled with a full refund up to 7 days prior to arrival. A 50% refund is available for bookings canceled up to 2 days prior to arrival. No-shows and cancellations within 48 hours of your check-in date will be billed the entire reservation total. Our property is bordered on all sides by forest, so there is a chance of wildlife wandering onto the property.

The creatures include and are not limited to frogs, mice, raccoons, squirrels, possums, spiders, cicadas, etc… While we make every effort to keep wildlife outside of our lodgings, occasional incursions do occur. No refunds will be issued due to the appearance of wildlife.

Outside Wood

Only wood purchased from Timberroot may be burned in indoor fireplaces. You may purchase firewood by contacting Guest Services. Please note that there are no vendors on-site at Welcome Vaelly Village; firewood must be added to your reservation at least 48 hours before your check-in date.

Guests may supply their own wood for the outdoor firepits. However, only certified, heat-treated, and properly labeled firewood may be brought into Welcome Valley Village. The state of Tennessee prohibits the use and transport of all out-of-state firewood unless it is certified, heat-treated, and properly labeled.‍

No Smoking

Smoking, vaping, and the use of electronic cigarettes are not permitted inside any Timberroot property.

Smoking is permitted outside or on uncovered decks. Guests must ensure that windows and doors are closed so that the smoke/vapor does not enter the building. Smoking/Vaping is not permitted in community spaces.

Cigarette butts should be fully extinguished and disposed of properly in exterior trash receptacles. Any evidence of smoking/vaping damage or odor inside the property or cigarette damage/debris on the exterior of the property during your stay will result in a minimum $150 fine.

Fireplaces, Fire Pits, and Grills

Fire pits, tables, fireplaces, stoves, and other combustibles are at risk. All grills, fire pits, and fires should be kept contained. Guests are responsible for ensuring that all fires are completely extinguished after use.

Media/Event Use Restriction

Timberroot accommodations may not be used or reproduced for, or as part of, any online listing, photographic production, television production, movie/film production, wedding event, party, or in any other way in which our property becomes a setting for amateur or professional use of producing, staging, or otherwise, without Timberroot’s express written consent.

Things To Note

Each of the Glamping Wagons at Welcome Valley Village has standard stairs at the entry points and steep staircases to access the private bathhouse, and as such, it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Welcome Valley Village consists of 17 forested acres bordered by the Ocoee River. Guests have the use of beautiful landscaped trails and common areas. Directly over the river is our spacious dock where guests can relax, swim, fish, and drop in tubes, SUPs, & kayaks. The Riverside Pavilion is open to all guests except when reserved for private events.

Pests

We take great care to ensure our properties are free from pests. Our properties are regularly treated by professional pest control, and our staff takes preventative measures to keep pests out.

However, as our properties are located in wooded areas, it is possible for guests to encounter insects and/or small woodland creatures like mice. If you encounter an unwelcome pest inside your lodging, please contact our Guest Services team immediately so our grounds team can address the problem as quickly as possible. 

We ask that guests help us prevent pests by keeping doors and window screens closed and maintaining proper cleanliness during their stay.

Made famous in part by the 1996 Olympics, thousands of visitors flock to the Ocoee every year to traverse its 3-mile stretch of world-class rapids. The nearby Hiwassee and Nantahala rivers offer a milder mountain river experience for younger adventurers and more leisurely-paced rafters. While you’ll experience absolute peace in your remote surroundings, you’ll be close to all the modern amenities you need to make the most of your stay. 

 Just one mile east of Welcome Valley Village is the Cherokee National Forest, Tennessee’s largest tract of public land. There, you’ll find unspoiled forests and waterways, giving you ample opportunities for hiking, bird watching, hunting, & fishing. 

A two-hour drive will deliver you to the north or south entrance of Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Experience fantastic wildlife and breathtaking views, hike part of the Appalachian Trail, or make the trek up to Clingmans Dome, the Park’s highest peak. After you visit the Park, don’t miss the towns of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Get your thrills at America’s friendliest theme park, Dollywood, visit the Titanic Museum, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, or take in one of their famous dinner shows. 

For car and motorcycle enthusiasts, the area is home to the scenic Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway, and hundreds more miles of winding mountain roads, including the Tail of The Dragon, where thousands of drivers test their skills each year against 318 hairpin turns. 

For a more urban experience, the city of Chattanooga is less than an hour away. Visit the Tennessee Aquarium, voted one of America’s ten best by USA Today. Enjoy a bite to eat at the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, which includes a brewery, distillery, several restaurants, and an array of seasonal activities. Experience culture and panoramic views from the Bluff View Arts District and Hunter Museum of American Art. Stroll across the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge to explore local shops in the quirky Northshore neighborhood, and be back to your cabin before dark.

Getting Around

Welcome Valley Village is located approximately three miles from the town of Benton, Tennessee, and 20 minutes from Cleveland, Tennessee.

Travel in this area typically requires access to an automobile, and the property is ideally situated to reach dozens of Tennessee attractions by car. The property is roughly 20 minutes from the Ocoee Whitewater Center, 50 minutes from Chattanooga, 90 minutes from Knoxville, and 2 hours from both entrances to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is just under an hour from Welcome Valley Village. In under three hours, you can typically reach either Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) or Nashville International Airport (BNA).
